I decided to brave the aquarium again, some of you may remember the last time I ventured there alone. This time we were meeting Jane and Alissa there, and my kids are about a year older, so hopefully that means they wouldn’t wander or run away the same. That was my hope anyways.
The plan originally was to go to Disneyland, but the rain had other plans for us. So the Aquarium of the Pacific became our alternative. And surprisingly the kids were more excited to go there than Disneyland.
The boys decided they would bring their sketchbooks to draw the animals they saw. It was an awesome idea, and I loved how the kids would plant themselves in front of a display and go to town. Here are some of the highlights.
Greta was not having the whole touch and feel the anemones and manta ray part of it, but she enjoyed watching everyone else do it.
Seriously, how cute are these boys with their sketchbooks?!
This sea lion was quite taken with our kids. He just swam up to the glass and parked himself there as if the kids were actually petting him.
