Lemonade Stand 2011

The kids’ annual lemonade stand was a big hit, and they loved their new wooden stand that Aaron whipped up that morning. I had some leftover canvas from an old house project that was just the right size to provide some shade. We made homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies as well as this classic lemonade recipe. It was delicious, and well worth the extra effort. I recommend heating up the sugar in the water first so that it dissolves nicely and doesn’t sit on the bottom. I used free downloadable printouts for the signs you can find here. I purchased the green striped straws from Etsy, and the clear plastic cups and lids are from Smart and Final. The glass beverage jug was an anniversary gift from Jane and David, but I believe she got it at Costco, but you can find them lots of places.

For the bunting, I just used some heavy card stock and cut rectangles out and then free handed a letter onto each card, then sewed them all together with some clear thread. Super easy. We kept the spend and save jar ideas from previous years, and the kids happily raked in $33.

And to my youngest reader out there, Ava, I promise we will make sure you are in town for the next lemonade stand. 🙂

  1. It looks fabulous! We got back too late from the beach that day so we weren’t able to stop by. Definitely next year!

  2. Wow! Pretty snazzy! You guys are coming up in the world – creating little entrepreneurs. Looks like it was fun. Next time can you have it on a Saturday so we can come :). Worth the trip.
